Welcome to our residency blog.
Carly Dougher
Hometown: Corvallis, OR
Carly is a guiding light in our residency. As a Chief Resident, she’s a problem solver. As a physician, she’s quick, definitive, and always looks to bring others along with her. She seeks to push us all to new levels in work and life. Not to mention, she’s a badass mom who didn’t bat an eye welcoming a new member of her family into the world while leading our residency during a global pandemic.
She’s left her mark on our program, and we couldn’t be more fortunate to have her in our family. We could go on..but let’s leave it at..Carly’s our current RIP City Resident!
What’s up with all black at work? You’re like an EM ninja - and we’re all envious.
Black like my cloud—-but also so practical. Hides stains.
We hear you’re quite picky about your blueberries. Where does that come from?
Not all blueberries are made equal
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
If you’re ever in Corvallis during blueberry season, hit up @andersonblueberries_ then you’ll know what I’m talking about.
What movie could you watch on repeat and not get sick of?
None. Who has time for that? I barely have the attention span to watch it once.
You have an off day - would you rather: read a book, build a fort, go shopping, or visit a park?
Anything that gets me outside wins... but shopping is a close second (especially since I haven’t been able to go during COVID times).
What’s one thing you always make sure to have with you on every shift in the ED?
Used to be coffee but COVID has ruined that too. So I’ll go with my Fanny pack with an eleven blade.
